On September 6th, Francis (Frank) Levine Leister, loving father of five, passed away peacefully at the age of 91. Frank was born December 12th, 1932 to Harold and Myrtle Leister. Frank had plenty of jobs including truck driver, car salesman and even fruit seller. He was a great salesman and could sell anything to anyone because of his personality. Frank served in the Army as a Paratrooper.
Frank always spoke his mind and lived his life the way he wanted doing whatever he wanted when he wanted. You would visit with him but when he was ready, he would say "thanks for coming" which meant it was time for you to leave. He would do this even while in assisted living, he would wave at you and pretend to go to sleep which meant your visit was over.
Frank lived in Maryland until 1975 when he heard the call of warmer weather and moved to Florida where he lived for 43 years until he moved back to Maryland for health reasons, but swore he would return to Florida.
Frank is survived by his five children: Tammy and her husband Mike, David and his wife Lisa, Frankie, Burt and Kurt and 15 grandchildren: Eddie, Francis, Tiffany, Jeremy, Matt, Nicholas, Michael, Sydney, Olivia, Jeremy, Ty, Carter, Rylie, Chloe, Abigail and 19 great grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his father Harold, his mother Myrtle, and brother Harold.
There will be a private family service in Daytona Beach, Florida. Thank you everyone for the outpouring of sympathy and support.
Please feel free to express your condolences on his tribute wall.
