Fran Sieradzki
March 28, 1946 – January 17, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frances Romaine Sieradzki (née Harnen) on January 17, 2025, at the age of 78, a month after being diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder cancer. She was comforted by her loving family as she passed. Fran was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, friend, and a beloved member of her church community.
Born in Baltimore to the late Leo F. Harnen and Mollie I. Harnen (née Inkrote), Fran dedicated her life to education, teaching for over 38 years in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools system, specifically she taught at George Fox Junior High School and Chesapeake High School. She touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and support, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues.
Beyond her career, Fran was passionate about many things. She was a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, cheering on her teams with enthusiasm. She found joy in gardening, shopping, and traveling—especially cruising around the world and discovering new places. She was an avid cook and participated in a gourmet cooking group.
Above all, Fran cherished time spent with her family and was a devoted and loving grandmother to her grandsons, Riley and Dakota. She also adored her beloved pet, Oliver, and enjoyed their daily walks together.
Fran was a woman of deep faith and played an active role in St. John Lutheran Church Brooklyn. Over the years, she served as a Sunday School teacher, church treasurer, fundraiser, and dedicated member of various church committees. Her generosity, strength, and unwavering spirit were evident in everything she did.
Fran is survived by her husband of 56 years, Stanley Sieradzki, Jr.; her daughter, Mollie Blum; her son-in-law, Shawn Blum; her grandsons, Riley and Dakota Blum; and her pug, Oliver Twist.
