On April 30, 2022 Erin Beloved wife of Mark Sheckells; Devoted mother of Colleen, Meghan and Kevin Sheckells; Mom-Mom of Elena Sheckells;  Beloved daughter of Manuel and Peg Croghan; Sister of Cabrini Kriewald, Wayne and Michael Croghan and the late Joseph Croghan; Also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

Erin was a professional cheerleader for the Baltimore Skip Jacks, Baltimore Colts, and the Washington Redskins. As a Redskinette Erin attended Super Bowl XVII and XVIII. Through the Redskins, Erin was chosen to be a member of the USO tour and traveled the world promoting products, made commercials, and did many performances including dancing and singing. Erin graduated from Anne Arundel Community College as a registered nurse, and worked at W. R. Grace as a nurse. After raising 3 children, she later returned to work as a substitute teacher for AACC public schools and Archbishop Spalding High School. Erin enjoyed dancing, reading, and writing. She enjoyed running with her father. She also loved attending Redskins games with her husband and family. She always loved taking pictures of her friends and family. She loved spending time with her children. She coached her two daughters in cheerleading, and loved watching her son play football, baseball, and basketball. She loved spending time with her granddaughter. Erin always considered her greatest accomplishment in life to be a mother and grandmother.
