Elsalena V. Szymanski

On February 18, 2025, Elsalena V. Szymanski passed away at age 95. She joins her beloved late husband Richard H. Szymanski in Heaven; cherished mother of Richard E., Alexander and James Szymanski; dear mother-in-law of Darlene and Teena Szymanski; blessed with 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; survived by her brother Richard and sister Lila. 

Mrs. Szymanski was one of 11 siblings who grew into a lifelong caretaker and nurturer, always putting others before herself. With strength and resilience, she raised her three sons, often filling the role of both mother and father while her husband served in the military. Her unwavering love and dedication towards her family were the foundation of their home, and has been passed down through generations. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered. 

Family requests relatives and friends visit Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Thursday (February 20, 2025) from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service Monday 11:30 A.M. Mrs. Szymanski will be laid to rest with her husband in MD Veterans Cemetery Crownsville on March 3, 2025 at 1:00 P.M..
