Cierniak, Eleanor A.
Born in Curtis Bay in May of 1940, attended Curtis Bay Elementary, Ben Franklin and Eastern High School class of June 1959. First job was at Johns Hopkins Welch Medical Library. Also worked part time jobs including Stewarts Department Store, Turks Leather Shop, Pantry Pride Grocery Store & Korvettes. Married to Frank W Cierniak in 1964. Last employer was DMV, hired as an accounting clerk for a period of 15 years. Retired on a disability pension due to multiple sclerosis. Became self-employed by opening up a snowball stand with her two daughters. Hobbies were playing Bingo, tending to her garden, baking, cooking, and taking day trips. She was the perfect wife and a great mother of two daughters, and her little boy Otto the German shepherd. She is now in Heaven with her mom and dad. Our Elly may be gone but will never be forgotten. We loved her in life and will always remember her in death. May she rest in peace and may the good Lord have mercy on her soul. Your loving husband, daughters, family, and Otto.
On May 11th 2022. Just shy of her 81st Birthday. Eleanor passed away with her family by her side. She is the beloved wife of 55 years to Frank Cierniak. Cherished mother of Mary Harrell, and Dolores Cierniak. Loving grandmother of Kaitlin Mahoney, and Richard Harrell Jr. Great-Grandmother of Colt Dear sister of Dolores Krasauskis and husband Anthony, Charles C. Zaruba Jr; Aunt of Karl and Tony Krasauskis and John and Mike Cierniak and Teri Rose.
Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Tuesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Athanasius Chapel on Wednesday at 11 AM, followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
