Eleanor Gertrude Altvater

     On February 10, 2021, Eleanor Altvater (nee Harrigan) passed away at age 98. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Arthur E. Altvater Jr.; devoted mother of Bradley Altvater and Susan Jones; loving grandmother of Brian & wife Sherry, Adam & wife Dana, Jason & wife Jennifer, Eric & wife Rachael, and Amber; cherished great grandmother of Malorie, Meredith, Hailey, AJ, Abbi, Ashley, Jazmine and Jaylynn; dear great great grandmother of Camden, Kennedy and Amelia; sister of Mary Hornick and the late Lillian Harmon and William Harrigan and sister in law of Edna Lee and Gene Kuhn. She was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, friends, and faithful caregiver Ethelda assisted by Maria and LaTonya.

    Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church (formerly Holy Trinity) on Tuesday at 10am. Mrs. Altvater will be laid to rest with her husband in Crownsville Veteran Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
