Herold, Edward F.
Edward Francis Herold, 94, a Riviera Beach resident for the past 56 years, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022. He was born in Baltimore on October 26, 1927 to the late George and Theresa Herold. He met his wife, Geraldine A Herold (Dunn) of East Baltimore and was married for 59 years. They moved to Pasadena in 1965 to raise their family.
Edward was a veteran, honorably discharged in 1947. He worked for the Department of Natural Resources in Annapolis, retiring in 1984. Edward was a devout Catholic and devoted member of St. Jane Frances DeChantel Parish, attending mass daily. He felt blessed to be part of this church that was comprised of life-long family and friends who raised their families together, vacationed together and supported one another throughout their lives.
Preceding Edward includes his wife of 59 years, Geraldine A. Herold, his parents, George and Theresa Herold, his brothers, Conrad Herold, Francis Herold, and his sister Elizabeth Holzhauser.
Edward is survived by his sons, Edward Francis Herold, Jr. of Annapolis, Joseph George Herold and his wife Sonia of Pasadena MD, his daughters Margaret Mary Nappi and her husband Thomas Nappi of Pasadena MD; Teresa Elizabeth Lowery and her husband Dean Lowery of Poquoson, VA; and Patricia Ann Herold of Annapolis; Grandchildren Robert Lowery and Matthew Lowery; Megan Jeffries, her husband Royce Jeffries and Michelle Hugill, her husband Mark Hugill and great grandchild Rita Hugill; his sister, Marie Breyere, along with many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. 169 Riviera Drive on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Jane Francis Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Msgr. Carl Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
