Edward M. Braitsch

      On March 20, 2026 Edward M. Braitsch passed away peacefully in his home. He was 84 years old. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine Braitsch. Dear father of Michele (Mickey) Kosmicki and (Joseph B. Lloyd Jr.), Bridget Marsh and (Gary A. Marsh) and the late Michael Braitsch Sr. and Christine Smith and father-in-law of the late Michael's wife Gail Ridgely. Son of the late John Sr. and Dorothy Braitsch; Brother of John Jr. and Richard (Dick) Braitsch. Cherished grandfather of Shannon Kriscumas, Chelsie Marsh, Tasha Lloyd, Joseph B. Lloyd lll and the late Johnny Kosmicki and Michael Braitsch Jr. Great grandfather of Sara, Brooklyn, Brianna, Joseph IV, Cameron, Maddox and Phoenix. Also loved by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Braitsch was very fond of his furry little friends Sunshine, Gracie May, Andy and the late Daisy May.

       Edward loved the company of his daughters and son-in-laws always coming over for dinner. When the night came to an end he enjoyed relaxing at home, watching the Orioles baseball games, and his evening shows Chicago Med and Chicago PD.

      The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy. on Saturday April 4th from 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM for a Memorial Gathering. His Memorial Service will begin at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to BARCS in memory of Mr. Edward M. Braitsch.
