Doris R. Auld

      Doris R. "Jean" Auld was born in Pennsylvania on March 21, 1937 to the late Leonard and Evelyn Monahan. Later moving to Baltimore MD, she would marry her love Harry Sr. She was a hard working and motivated woman, raising her 3 sons.

      Doris' early career started at Waverly Press on January 4th, 1960 until 1965, where she worked in the Book Order Department. She then focused on her family and was a stay at home Mom until her youngest son started high school in 1981. Then she jumped back into the workforce as typist for a temporary agency for several years, until she landed a job with the Department of Motor Vehicles, where she finished out a 20 year career.

      She was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of St. Rose of Lima where she had many friends. She enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, Florida, and taking Cruises. Doris loved swimming, bowling and simply some peace and quiet while sewing or reading a good book. Above all she enjoyed spending time with the family she created and will be missed by them all.

      On August 23, 2025. Doris R. Auld (Nee Monahan) joined her beloved husband Harry E. Auld Sr. in Heaven. She is the loving mother of Harry E. Auld Jr. and wife Helen, Bryan Auld and wife Lisa, and Scott Auld and wife Cathy. Cherished Grandmother of Kevin, Kelly, Zachary, Collin, Rileigh, and the late Jamie Auld. Great grandmother of Julian, and Layne Taylor. Dear Sister of the late Vernita Beaulieu, and James Monahan. 

      Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will take place Wednesday at 11 AM, followed by interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity.
