A Smile and Hug for Everyone

       This beloved daughter of Angelo (Sonny) John, Jr. and Nada Denice Scurto and stepdaughter of Haley Scurto, mother of Audrey Nadine Scurto,  and stepsister to Dawn Moninghoff and related to numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her Christian family, never seemed to know a stranger at church or just passing by. At Brooklyn Nazarene, she was known as the Hug Greeter. At Grace Baptist, she was in her element as Welcome Center Director, which she took very seriously; and was so pleased when Pastor Gordon did a sermon from The Book of Ruth  on her suggestion on Mother's Day. She was a graduate of Southern High School and attended Coppin State in Baltimore. She loved the Lord, her family and friends with all her heart.

       Her departure to be with her Lord was painless for her, sudden and unexpected for those left behind. It will take an eternity and beyond to fill the place she left in our hearts.
 

      Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Friday from 2 to 4 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 4 PM.
