On April 6, 2023, Darlene A Calvert passed away. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Bartnick; devoted mother of Robert Calvert, Jr and wife Sabrina, Christine Calvert Rogall and husband Michael; cherished grandmother of Megan Wilson and husband Ricky, John Michael Kusiak Jr and wife Kiley, Sabrina Lauer and husband Blaine, Zachary Hadaway, and Dallas Calvert; dear great grandmother of Rilynn Kusiak, Nora Wilson, Miles Wilson, Brady, Lauer, Colt Lauer, Bentley Hadaway; loved sister of Paul Bartlebaugh of Altoona PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Marjorie Bruno and her sister Antoinette Krashoc.
Darlene was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland. She met the love of her life, husband Thomas Bartnick in 1984 on a blind date. They fell in love that night, and were inseparable ever since. She worked for US F& G for over 30 years until they moved to St. Paul. Then she went to work for Porcelite Of Baltimore until she retired a few years ago. She loved watching the Orioles and Ravens. She never missed a game if they were on TV. She looked forward to cookouts at her daughter and son-in-law‘s house where the family gathered on weekends and holidays. She looked forward to going to Pennsylvania each year spending time with family. She always enjoyed bowling, going to the movies or just sitting outside, feeding the deer and the stray cats that came every day. She will be dearly missed.
Interment will take place Tuesday (4/11/2023) at 2:30 PM in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, along with a brief prayer service. Those who will be attending a please arrive at the cemetery by 2:15 pm.
