Conrad Koch, Jr. Obituary

Conrad “Connie” Andrew Koch Jr., 78, of Galestown, MD, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by the love of family and friends, who find comfort in knowing that his passing brought a joyful reunion with his beloved wife of 56 years, Grace Elaine.

Born on January 9, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, Connie graduated from Brooklyn Park High School and went on to build a long and fulfilling career with Northrop Grumman, where he served more than 35 years as a production manager.

It was in Brooklyn Park where Connie met the love of his life, Grace. The two were married on August 10, 1968, and together built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and cherished memories. He is survived by his three daughters, Angela Hood, Christine Smith (husband Jeff Sr.), and Lori Lynch (husband John); eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith Jr. (wife Mana), Hailey Shojamanesh (husband Nick), Jenna Hood, Jacob Smith, Jordan Smith, Conall Sellers, Joshua Smith, and Riley Hood; and two great-grandchildren, Zayden Reuther and Ila Shojamanesh.

A man of many talents and passions, Connie enjoyed sports of all kinds—football, softball, and horseshoes among them—but was best known for his love of bowling and fishing. Alongside Grace, he spent many years in bowling leagues and proudly achieved every bowler’s dream by rolling a perfect 300 game in Seaford, DE. Fishing, however, was his truest passion. Connie traveled across the country competing in bass fishing tournaments, making lifelong friends, and creating countless memories on the water. His love for the sport extended beyond himself—he eagerly shared it with his grandchildren and volunteered his time to programs that introduced other children to fishing, ensuring the tradition would live on for generations to come.

Connie will be remembered for his devotion to family, his easygoing spirit, and his love of the outdoors. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and shared adventures will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
