Charles H. Wenger, Jr.
On August 26, 2024 surrounded by his loving family, Charles H. Wenger, Jr. 83, peacefully went home to the Lord. Charles was the beloved husband of Antonia Wenger (nee Anuzulis) for 66 years, beloved brother of Shirley Thomas, beloved brother-in-law of Marie Jo Saunders and her husband, Thomas, devoted father to Charles and his wife, Janet, Theresa and Patrick and his partner, Lisa, and Maryanna and her husband, Joseph. Loving grandfather to Brian, Christopher, Alexanne, Kevin, Blaine and Avayanna. Proud great-grandfather to Maelynn, Vaughan, Flora, and Madison.
Charles attended Baltimore City College and later joined Sheetmetal Local #122. He was a firefighter with the Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Department early in his married life. In 1975, he began work at the U.S. Coast Guard Yard where he later retired as a Ship Superintendent after 32 years. Charles enjoyed his family and friends immensely and was always ready to lend a helping hand or share his love for antique autos and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A.169 Riviera Dr. Pasadena MD on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday at 11 AM in St. Jane Frances Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens research hospital
