Schwinn, Charles H.
Schwinn, Charles Howard Sr., age 77, a life long resident of Brooklyn Park, entered eternal rest 22 April 2022.
In Charlie's younger years he enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends. Charlie worked at Dutche's Towing many years where he was a favored driver. He later he worked for Security Equipment where he retired. Charlie also enjoyed farm animals and met his wife at a horse auction. The two have been together ever since. That was forever one of the stories he loved to share. They owned the last farm in Brooklyn Park where many people in the area would come by to feed and pet the animals.
His laughter could light up a room as well as make eyes roll with some of his own personal, beloved, well worn jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry S. and Viola E. Schwinn (nee Reynolds) and sister Leona Nelson-Torre. He is survived by his wife Ruby Schwinn (nee Brenneman), two daughters, Julie A. Strickland (Larry) of Lugoff, SC, and Brandi N. Thomas of Ferndale, a son Charles H. Schwinn Jr. (Allison) of Highland. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Thomas J. Hill, Brittany L. Stewart, Taylor H. Strickland, Wyatt C. Schwinn, Mackenzie M. Schwinn, Emmett B. Schwinn, and Madelyn M. Schwinn as well as 3 great grandchildren L. Aiden Stewart, Emerson H. Strickland, and Rylee L. God saw you getting tired, and a
cure was not to be. So he put his
arms around you, and whispered
"Come to Me." With tearful
eyes we watched you, and saw
you pass away. Although we
loved you dearly, we could not
make you stay. A golden heart
stopped beating, hard working
hands at rest. God broke our
hearts to prove to us, He only
takes the best.
Please feel free to express your condolences on his tribute wall.
