Catherine Isabel Hall-Snead

Catherine Isabel Hall-Snead was born on January 8, 1958, to two wonderful parents, William (Bill) Hall and Margaret (Peggy) Hall. She was the second of three daughters. Cheri Hall being the eldest, followed by Cathi, and finally, Cindi Hall-Brigham. She was also a loving sister to her two brothers, Billy Hall and Chip Hall. Growing up in such a close-knit family instilled a deep sense of unconditional love into Cathi’s spirit.

Cathi was a spunky soul; everywhere she went, she brought instant joy with her contagious smile. In her early adult life, she gave birth to her first bundle of joy, Brian Hall. The two navigated the world together hand in hand. Shortly after, Cathi’s life changed forever when she met her soulmate and other half, Mark Snead. Like pieces of a puzzle, they just fit. They quickly expanded their family, welcoming their first daughter, Shannon Snead. That was just the beginning of their story, as they went on to lovingly welcome Jessica Snead, Mark Snead, Catrina Snead, and, last but not least, her baby boy, Cody Snead.

Mark and Cathi truly lived by the belief that "home is not where you live, but who you love," a sentiment they poured into raising their children.

Cathi was a wonderful person and so easy to talk to. Her energy was so warm and sociable that the moment she walked into a room, her comforting presence brought an instant sense of relief. Wherever she went, she made a new friend and left behind a beautiful memory.

Coming from a big family full of love, it was never hard for her to share her heart with her 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Cathi was a unique and gentle spirit who peacefully passed away in her sleep on June 25th after a long and difficult battle with COPD. She is now reunited with her other half and lifelong love, Mark Snead, as well as her sister, Cindi Hall-Bringham, and her grandson, Jermaine Stubblefield.

Cathi was so much more than a wonderful wife, mother, Mamaw, sister, and aunt. There are countless accolades we could give her, but it simply comes down to this: she was a truly caring, genuinely lovely person.

Gone but never to be forgotten, we mourn and celebrate the beautiful life of Cathi Hall-Snead.

Family requests relatives and friends visit Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Monday (July 6, 2026) from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A service will begin at 7:30 PM.
