Catherine Funk Bohnet

On November 10, 2024, Catherine Funk Bohnet (nee Schantz) passed away at age 99. A dedicated reader and creative spirit, Ms. Bohnet enjoyed crafting, sewing, and found beauty in nature. Her love of sea shelling brought her joy by the shore, and her garden showed off her green thumb. She was also a devoted Catholic, and long time member of the Red Hat Society, and fraternal organizations The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and the Loyal Order of Moose.

Catherine Funk Bohnet was the devoted mother of Bennett "Skip" Funk, Carolyn E. Milan, and the late Robert C. Funk; cherished grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 25, and great great grandmother of 6. She was the oldest of 11 children - dear sister of Helen Smolin, Raymond Schantz, Henry Schantz, and Edwin Schantz, Florence McCarthy and will join the rest of her siblings in Heaven. 

Family requests relatives and friends visit Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday (11/13/2024) from 2 to 5 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 5 PM.
