Carrie Anne Sharik Ernest

        Carrie A. Sharik Ernest, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 25th, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. She was born to David and Mary (née Supsic) Sharik on September 15, 1977. She was a 1995 graduate of Institute of Notre Dame high school. In 1999, she graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. After graduation she pursued her passion for journalism as a marketing and communications writer. Carrie was married to Robert Ernest on May 8, 2009. She went on to welcome her wonderful daughter, Alivia, who was the love of her life. Carrie was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family at the beach. She enjoyed sunny days outside, eating crabs, and movie nights. She held a deep faith and was a talented singer sharing her love for music during church services.

        Carrie is survived by her parents, David and Mary; brother, Scott Sharik; husband, Robert; her daughter, Alivia Ernest; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

          A Visitation will be held at Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 169 Riviera Drive on Friday, July 9th from 6 to 8 pm, with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 8420 Belair Road, Fullerton, Md. 21236 on Saturday at 10am  followed by interment in St. Joseph, Fullerton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her name.
