Calvin Lockner, III Obituary

Calvin Earl Lockner III died on Saturday July 30, 2022.

Calvin was born December 4, 1962 in Baltimore, MD to Ethel Lockner and Calvin Lockner Jr.. Calvin is survived by his loving wife Vickey Lockner, and their 8 children Calvin Lockner IV, Joseph Lockner, Bobby Lockner, Christine Lockner, Alicia Wallace, Jessica Lockner, Tobias Lockner, and Ryan Lockner. He is survived by 6 grandchildren Chrystal Allen, Kayla Adams, Lily Adams, Aria Vann, Janiyah Wallace, and Jayceon Lafourcade. He is survived by two sisters, Diane Elswick and Peggy Lockner.

Calvin was a devoted and loving husband, an amazing father and grandfather to all his children and grandchildren. Everyone who knew Calvin knew what a great man, husband and father he truly was. He loved to joke around and was always asking everyone if they needed anything, even if he didn’t have it to give, he would always find a way. Calvin was a kind, caring, generous, and loving person. Calvin was the kind of man who loved everyone, and everyone loved him just as much. He had the biggest smile, a smile that lit up the whole room. As he leaves behind the family, he loved so dear, we are all left broken hearted as we grieve the loss of one of the greatest men we’ve ever known. Calvin will always be loved and never forgotten. He will forever be with us, as we carry him in our hearts through the future journeys we face. Knowing we have the best angel watching over us always until we meet again.

“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” “As long as we remember a person, they’re not really gone. Their thoughts, their feelings, their memories, they become a part of us.”

Family requests relatives and friends to visit Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Monday (8/8/2022) from 2-4 PM, with a service beginning at 4 PM.

Feel free to write your condolences on his tribute wall.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following paths God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found my peace at the close of day.
If my parting left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much.
Good friends, good times,
A loved one's touch.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wants me now; He set me free.
