Betty Young

Betty Lou (Bowen) Young went to be with her Savior on January 22, 2024.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 21, 1932. She married James Andrew Young on August 25th, 1951. The Lord blessed them with six sons: Her husband and son, Jon Arthur preceded her to glory. She is survived by James Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Jerry Young and wife Kerry of Brooklyn Park, Jeffrey Young of Baltimore, Jay and wife Donna of Middle River, and Joseph and wife Melodi of Westminister, Maryland. She has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Betty worked many years as an elementary school teacher's aide for Baltimore City Schools. She served as a Sunday school teacher and she and her husband worked as cooks at Aletheia Springs Christian Camp for several weeks each summer for many years.

There will be viewings at Brooklyn Bible Chapel on Friday, January 26th, from 3:00P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Saturday, January 27th, 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. The church is located at 502 Jack Street, Baltimore, MD 21225.

In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Brooklyn Bible Chapel Missionary Program.
