Ardell Leroy Williamsen
Born July 29, 1940 in Fairmont, NE to the late Elmer and Ruth Mae Williamsen of York, NE and his eight siblings. Survived by his brother Billy Williamsen and sister Nancy Cohagen and husband Muggs, all of NE. Ardell was married June 11, 1960 to Mary Jane Pierce of Siam, TN at Middle River Baptist Church in MD. Mary Jane passed March 29, 2020. He is the cherished father of Edward Williamsen and wife Cathy of Severn, MD and Ronald Williamsen and Valerie Westveer of Pasadena, MD. Dear Grandfather of Angela Panas and husband Eric of WI, Ronald Williamsen of Pasadena, MD, Nicole Williamsen and husband Justin Hayes of Linticum, MD, Zachary Williamsen and wife Mary Ellen of Old Mill, MD. Vanessa Lamke of Pasadena, MD and her daughters Billy and Sara. Great grandchildren Mireya Staidl of WI, great grand-twins Kendrick and Riley Hayes of Linthicum, MD.
Ardell served in the United States Navy in 1958 on USS Jack W. Wilke, DE-800, with shipmate and future brother-in-law Bill Faust of Denton, MD, while stationed in Key West, FL. Ardell was a Butcher, a store Meat Manager and retired as commercial driver from Johnson Transfer Baltimore, MD. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and especially being with family to share the infamous Pop-Pop jokes. The family shares love with all families related to surnames Williamsen in MD and NE, Pierce in Middle River MD, Faust in Denton, MD, Pierce and Nave in TN.
