Bill was born February 15, 1940. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Bill was a skilled wood worker and owned his own home improvement business Kelcor for over 40 years. He also enjoyed the simple things in life such as hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful person who is loved and will be missed.

On January 14, 2020. William (Bill) Mayes joined his beloved wife Peggy J. Mayes (nee Russell) of 55 years in Heaven. He is the Dear father of Corinne Odenheimer and her husband Stephen, Kelly Huntzberry and her husband Doug. Son of the late Howard and Dorothy Mayes. Loving Brother of the late Norma Hager, Frank Mayes, Charles Mayes, and James Mayes. Cherished Grandfather of Bill Huntzberry and wife Kathryn, Jessica Joyce and husband Alex, Matthew Huntzberry, Michelle Bland and husband Marshall, Alex Huntzberry, Brad Odenheimer and Megan Huntzberry. Great grandfather of Ava Huntzberry, Evelyn Huntzberry and Emilia Joyce.

Family will be hosting a Celebration of Life February 1st at 2:00 PM at the Ferndale Volunteer Firehall 4 S. Broadway Blvd South Glen Burnie 21061
