      Virginia was born September 14, 1947 to John and Gertrude "Bunny" Steele. She met her husband Jim on a blind date who she had no idea would be the last date she would've gone on, later to marry the love of her life. They have been happily married for 45 years. She also enjoyed the simple things in life like watching her favorite Crime shows on tv.

      On March 3, 2019. Virginia was the beloved wife of James L. Eckert; Cherished mother of Cynthia C. Roe, and Louis J. Eckert; Loving grandmother of Lars, Skylar, Tanis, Savannah, and Lexus, and great grandmother of Rayne. 

      Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Service on Friday at 11 AM, followed by interment in Loudon Park Cemetery.
