Mary Margaret (Peggy) Stump

12/4/1943 to 12/29/2018

      Peggy left us to be with her maker on December 29, 2018. She was predeceased in life by her loving mother Mary Dodge. Peggy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Stump, son Chas & daughter-in law Marti Dirscherl, son Craig & daughter-in law Cathy Stump, son Eric, daughter Cindy Eckert, her grandchildren; Rachel & Adam Vencil, Emily & Mitchell Horner, Ally and Claire Stump, her great grandchildren; Carleigh and AJ Vencil.

      Peggy was born and raised in Baltimore and transplanted to Glen Burnie where she spread her roots deep into the community. Peggy was an exceptionally kind person and always had something nice to say about everyone. She loved lighthouses, bingo, shopping at the Dollar Store and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.  Always one with a warm smile and sunny disposition she was an eternal optimist. Affectionately known as Ms. Peggy she enjoyed the time she spent working at the Willows pool and loved all the kids in the neighborhood. Peggy also loved being around and interacting with the kids as evidenced by her time spent in the concession stand at the Andover Apache and Linthicum Ferndale ball fields. She retired from the Motor Vehicles Administration (MVA) after 20 years and enjoyed her years of retirement that followed.

      Among her favorite joys Peggy loved giving out candy for Halloween because it was an opportunity to see the kids dressed up in their costumes. Christmas was her favorite time of the year as it gave her the chance to participate in the joy of giving.     

      Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life which will be held at The Roland Terrace Democratic Club 619 Matthews Ave, Baltimore MD 21225 on Monday, January 14th from 6:00PM to 9:00PM
