Mary Royer Obituary

Mary Eshelman Gantz-Royer, born in Mount Joy Township to Blaine R. and Emma W. Gantz, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Royer Sr.; two sons, Laverne G. Heisey and John L. Royer Jr.; and a daughter, Jeanne H. Pepper.

She will be fondly remembered by her son, Daniel Heisey of Mount Joy and a daughter, Susan Royer of Ferndale, MD. She is also survived by six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Florence E. Merkey of Willow Street.

Mary enjoyed bird watching, reading, taking walks and word searches.

A funeral service honoring Mary’s life will be held at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc, 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy PA on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will follow at West Greentree Cemetery in PA.
