Marty J. Johnson was born August 12, 1931. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. Marty was a "Devoted Public Servant". He was a Sergeant for the Baltimore City Police for 35 years, and later worked for the Howard County Sheriff Department for 9 years. He was a Care free, Happy go lucky kind of guy, and loved life. He Cherished his family and enjoyed sharing a nice bushel of Crabs with them. Breakfast was very important to Mr. Johnson as he liked to start his day off with some bacon and eggs. He also liked going to the Casino with his buddy Glenn.
On November 6, 2017. Marty passed away at age 86. He is the beloved husband of the late Wilda Johnson; Loving father of Jeannie and husband Jim, Joyce and husband Jim, Martin Jr. and wife Susan, Glenn and wife Sue, George Sr., Jennie and her husband Bill. Marty was also blessed with 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. He is the Dear brother of Bob, Larry, Addie, and the late Donald and Charles. In lieu of flowers family asks those to make contributions to the National Kidney Foundation.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Marty's life on Saturday at Severn Covenant Church in Gambrills, MD from 11:30am - 2:30pm . All who loved Marty are welcome to attend. Internment will remain private.
