On November 10, 2017 Lloyd (Shorty) Lowery. Beloved husband of 59 years to LaVonna Lee Lowery (nee Cantrell). Beloved father of Jim P. Lowery and his wife Cindy, Connie M. Hoover and her husband Chuck, Joyce (Jody) A. Virts and her husband Gary, Ramona (Mona) L. Stansbury and her husband John, John N. Lowery and his wife Cindy and Steve M. Lowery and his wife Denise. Loving son of the late James L. and Elizabeth L. (nee Thompson) Lowery.  Brother of the late Ronald Lowery. Son in law of Juanita (mom maw) Cantrell and the late Perry Cantrell (pop paw). Cherished grandfather of Chrystal and Jerry, Philip and Robin, Jennifer and Marlo, Billy and Susan, Joey, Maria, Gracie, Summer, Corey, Nicholas, Destiny, Brandon and Amanda, Connor and Angela, Parker and Seleny. Great grandfather of Eleanor, Evelyn, Amelia, Mason, Noah, Makai, Jadyn and Easton. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 9:00 AM.  Interment with Military Honors will be held in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd. Crownsville, Md. 21032.
