Born 10/9/1934 in Baltimore, Maryland. Parents were George Lloyd Dorsey and Mary Aurelia (Yienger) Dorsey.
Brother of Maryann Pearce, Charles D. Dorsey and his wife Darlene, Robert A. Dorsey and his late wife Beverly and the late Catherine A. Singer and her late husband Edwin Singer.
Devoted husband of 63 years to Mary Eva (Pless) Dorsey. They resided in Glen Burnie, Maryland and raised their family.
Dear Father of Theresa A. Moler and her husband Wade, Barbara E. Broadwater, Michael L. Dorsey and his wife Charlene, George L. Dorsey and his wife Lisette, and Charles R. Dorsey.
Doting grandfather to 13 grandchildren: Katie, Kim, Michael, Laura, Lisa, David, Grace, Theresa, Mary, Emily, Elissa, Eric, and Russell along with 6 Great-grandchildren: Marissa, Kaylin, Donovan, Ian, Joseph, and Mason.
Served in the Navy reserves for 9 years including active duty on the USS Darby (DDE-218) from 1960-1962.
Worked more than 40 years for Baltimore Gas and Electric Company in Glen Burnie and Annapolis, as a lineman and crew foreman.
Founding member of the Church of the Crucifixion parish in Glen Burnie, Most recently attended Saint Benedict Church.
Active in the Knights of Columbus for more than 40 years in Glen Burnie and Baltimore. Served as Grand Knight and was a 3rd Degree.
Lloyd enjoyed the retired life with Mary, traveling and cruising with family and friends to Ireland, Germany, Italy and throughout the US.

Friends may visit Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Tuesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass in Saint Benedict Church 2612 Wilkens Ave. Baltimore, Md. 21223, on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
