John W. Simmons Jr. of Severn, Maryland died on December 4, 2017 with family by his side.   Beloved husband of Jean T. Simmons (nee Price). Dear father of William Simmons and his wife Rena, Mark Simmons and his wife Francie and Stephen Simmons and his wife Tracy. Cherished grandfather of Jaclyn, Tyler, Samantha, Justin, Ryan and Billy.   He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Fay Simmons.  He retired in 1990 from his lifetime career with Household  Finance Corporation (HFC).  His interests included golfing; supporting Baltimore team sports to include the Colts, Ravens and Orioles; spending time with family and working for many years at Price’s Seafood every Sunday.  Visit GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy. on Thursday and Friday from 3 to 5  and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
