Jean T. (Price) Simmons

Jean T. Simmons (nee Price) of Severn, Maryland died on January 2, 2018 with family by her side. She is the beloved wife of the late John W. Simmons Jr.; Dear mother of William Simmons and his wife Rena, Mark Simmons and his wife Francie, and Stephen Simmons and his wife Tracy; Cherished grandmother of Jaclyn, Tyler, Samantha, Justin, Ryan, and Billy. Loved sister and best friend of Catherine Claytor.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John W Simmons Jr.; her parents Andrew and Christina Price; five brothers Milton, Charles, Andrew, Thomas and Stanley Price; and two sisters, Frances Seeberger and Angela Rouse.

            Jean was born June 20, 1935, in Ferndale, Md. Her interests included cooking large family meals, taking care of the grandchildren, attending family gatherings, gardening and playing UNO. Her many jobs included wife, mother, grandmother, Andy’s milk bar waitress, and volunteer gym teacher. Her many travels with her loving husband included England, France, Italy, Mexico, Hawaii and Bahamas. 

Family and friends may visit Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy on Thursday and Friday from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 3803 Fourth Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21225, on Saturday (Jan 6) at 10 AM. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
