James ‘Jimmy’ Sledgeski, 64, of Brooklyn passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018. Jimmy was born July 15, 1954 in Baltimore, MD to the late Frank Stanley and Mary Catherine Sledgeski,
Jimmy worked for many years at Max Bauer Cabinet Shop before starting his own business, JS Custom Cabinets. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed NASCAR and talking with friends and family. His memory will be cherished by his two sisters, Carol Bailey of Elkridge, MD, and Mary Ellen Starner of Nesquehoning, PA 6 nieces and nephews, 9 grand-nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends Irv and Vicky Diegel. Jimmy was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved, Deborah Koch and dog, Captain Morgan.
Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Wednesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Athanasius Church on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will be private. Please feel free to express your condolences for the family here.
