      On June 5, 2019. James was called home to be with his loving wife Julia M. Barnes. He is the beloved father of James Barnes Jr, and husband David, Michele Deere and husband Christopher, Kimberly Temple and husband Stuart, and Anthony Barnes and wife Barbara. James was also blessed with 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 

      James was born and raised in Baltimore MD. As a young boy he got his first job delivering newspapers. Later, he met the love of his life, Julia, sharing over 50 years of marriage. James enjoyed cruising on his motorcycle, he was a member of the Hogs and Heroes foundation for his entire life. He also loved the simple things in life, gardening and spending time with his German Shepherds Heidi and Gretchen. James was loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.

Family requests relatives and friends visit the Family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 169 Riviera Dr. Pasadena MD on thursday 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will take place Friday at 10 AM.
