Helena M. Montz

HELENA MARIE MONTZ nee ELLENBERGER

Born March 16, 1926 in Baltimore Maryland to the late George and Thelma Ellenberger  .

Helena Marie Montz, 92 years of age passed away peacefully at the Baltimore -Washington Medical Center on February 19th after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving children and family.

Helena is survived by her children: Helena Dehn of Glen Burnie, Patricia and her husband William (Bill) Ryan of Harford County, and Raymond Prestridge of Glen Burnie, 10 cherished grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and sister-in-law Barbara J. Ellenberger and many nieces and nephews.

Helena is preceded in death by her 1st husband Otis W. Prestridge, Sr. and second husband Newell Montz of Glen Burnie, son Otis Prestridge, Jr. of Glen Burnie, her brother Frank Ellenberger of Glen Burnie, sister, Irene Rogers of Glen Burnie, and brother George M. Ellenberger Jr. of Glen Burnie and her beloved son-in-law Jack Dehn of Glen Burnie.

Helena, after retiring, enjoyed spending time with friends and her family. She loved gardening, and travelling.  She also looked forward to her Shanghai group twice a week .  She was a loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Orioles.

The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy. on Sunday February 24th, from 3-5 pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held at Gonce Funeral Home on Monday February 25th, 12 noon and Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park, MD.
