Chance, George E. Jr.

     On April 17, 2019 George Edward Chance Jr. passed away at age 76. A lifetime resident of Baltimore, George earned his Bachelor degree in Business Management from the University of Baltimore. George had a 38 year career in Federal service as an analyst for the Department of Defense and was a recipient of several service awards. He later spent 6 years with Northrup Grummen as a Security access controller. A 30 year member of the Masons, Waverly Lodge, George was also a Shriner and active member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed reading, watching golf and visiting Las Vegas.

     George E. Chance Jr. was the beloved son of the late Margaret and George E. Chance Sr.; cherished brother of Lynn Raymond and her husband Francis; loving uncle of Domonic and Michael; great uncle of Sarena, Joey, Madison, Paul and Nick.

        Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me.

        I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all.

        I could not stay another day to laugh to love to work or play.

        Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of day.
