Leary, Jr. Edward M.
Edward M. Leary Jr. age 82, a resident of Pasadena and previously of Linthicum, passed away at his home on May 24, 2019. He was born on October 11, 1936 in Baltimore to the late Edward M. Sr. and Ruth (née Adams) Leary. Ed, affectionately known as Pop, went to Poly High School. After serving in the US Army, he worked as a machinist at Bethlehem Steel until retirement. He was very active in his children's upbringing serving as their athletic coach, Cub Scout leader among others. He was a member of the Just Country Dance Club.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Marie Anne Leary, Survived by his two devoted sons: E. Michael Leary III of Florida and Kevin Leary of Maryland; his loving daughter Debbie Leary Oltman, of Maryland; his four granddaughters: Megan and Shelby Leary, of Florida, Heather Leary of Maryland and Kelsey Oltman Brown of Florida; and his five grandsons: Danny and Patrick Oltman, and Kyle Leary all of Maryland, and E. Michael Leary IV and Ethan Leary of Florida. Survived by his three sisters Dorothy Vazzana, Mary Englehart and Ruth Kincanon. Family requests relatives and friends to attend a Memorial Service on June 29th at 1 PM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 8615 Ft. Smallwood Rd. Pasadena, Md. 21122.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer in memory of his loving wife. AND..... A celebration of life will follow the memorial service, details will be provided at the memorial.
