Gunning, Edward M. Sr.

      On May 13, 2018, Edward M. Gunning Sr. passed away at age 83. Born in Baltimore, the son of  the late Ann and Andrew Gunning, Ed attended Southern  High School, played baseball for the Baltimore Orioles, worked as a Baltimore City Police officer, and owned the famous Gunnings Seafood Restaurant. He later enjoyed his retirement in Fort Meyers, Florida.

     Mr. Gunning was the beloved companion and partner of Josie Riner ; loving father of Edward Gunning Jr., Tammy Gunning and the late Kimberly Gunning ; dear husband of the late Margaret Gunning; blessed with 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and brother of Lillian Etheridge and David Gunning.

       The family will receive visitors at Holy Trinity church  on Wednesday May 23 from 10 until 11am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
