      Daniel grew up as a South Baltimore boy. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, later to work for Revere, Copper & Brass as an Accountant Manager. He has been an officer with the Elks Lodge for 15 years and a Master in the Freemasons at Waverly Lodge for over 60 years. 

      On February 16, 2019. Daniel was the beloved husband of the late Frances Alvene Gerhardt, Loving father of Gary M. Gerhardt and his wife Auria, Michelle Benvenga and her husband Frank. Dear grandfather of Michelle, Laura, Michael, Jodie, Julie, Gary, Jill, and John, and also blessed with great grandchildren. 

      Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Service on Thursday at 10 am, followed by interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
