Thomas, Cynthia "Cindy"

       On January 15, 2020 Cynthia Thomas "Cindy" passed away at age 56. Raised in Pasadena, Cindy was a 1981 graduate of Notheast High School. Then she earned a Bachelors degree in Accounting from University of Maryland and had a career in accounting. The “ultimate “ soccer mom, Cindy spent weeknights and weekends happily cheering  for her three kids at their games. She then surprised everyone and followed her life long dream of becoming a truck driver. Type of truck didn't matter, 52' flat bed, 18 wheeler, she loved them all, and she was proudly employed by Ryder Trucking Company. Known by all her family as a helpful, caring person, Cindy would often offer her assistance to aging family members. Watching movies and playing solitaire were some of her favorite things, but her family was most important to her. She was truly a dedicated mother and grandmother.

      Cynthia Ann Thomas was the loving mother of Ronnie Thomas Jr and his wife Rachel, Danny Thomas and fiancée Kinisha, Heather Legates and husband Chuck; devoted daughter of Gene and the late Mary Barker; cherished grandmother of Ty, Axel, Asia, Cormega, Albany and Khalil; beloved sister of Gene Barker Jr. and fiancée Aida, Colleen Matulaitis and husband Mark, Linda Warner and husband Brian, Laurie Gonce and husband Mark. She was also blessed with a large extended family.

     Friends May visit at Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 169 Riviera Drive on Monday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service on Tuesday at 11 am.

     Cindy loved to help others whenever she could. We hope that, in lieu of flowers, you will consider donating to an organization that helps the needy: Sarah’s House, near Fort Meade Maryland is a homeless shelter for families.
