My sincere condolences to the family and friends, so sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in knowing that Jehovah God will soon resurrect our dear loved ones (John 5:28--29). Oh how we long for the time when pain, suffering and death will be no more, these former things will have passed away (Revelation 21:3-5).

I initially met Tom when he worked at Fire Maintenance, We would bring Medic 7 down there in those days for repairs occasionally, then our paths crossed again when he came to Engine 50, I was a Paramedic on Medic 2 at that time.(This was back in the '90's) He was a nice guy and was always willing to help if there were problems on the ambo. He loved his coffee! Rest in peace Brother.

I first met Tom when our fire houses were closed, our companies were combined in a new station in Locust Point. I'll never forget the times we had there with the rest of the companies personnel, between the joking around and the serious stuff as well. Tom and I would sometimes stay up half the night just shooting the bull and drinking coffee or be working on his lawn equipment. When Tom's relief would come in he would jump up from his chair, relay information on the status of the pumper and be out the door because he had grass to cut, no good byes, no see you later, just gone! When he returned that night for the next night shift he would be covered in grass clippings since he would come to work directly from his last cut, I have so many stories and memories. Tom was a good pump operator, he did his job well. Very seldom did I beat Tom out the door on a combined response, he drove that pumper like his life depended or maybe someone else's. Crabbing and fishing were always on Tom's "things to do today " list when he wasn't cutting grass. I enjoys these outings with him as often as I could, hunting Bambi as I call it, wasn't my thing although Tom loved it. In the short time I knew Tom we grew to be very good friends. He will be truly and honestly missed.
