Sammy S. Zambelli, age 93, a life long resident of Brooklyn Park, Md. Died on June 29, 2017 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake in Severna Park, Md.
Mr. Zambelli was born on August 22, 1923 in Elkins, West Virginia. Mr. Zambelli was retired from General Motors where he was employee as a pipefitter.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Blanche B. Zambelli (nee Pizewoznik). He is survived by his daughter Deborah A. Varley and her husband William J. Varley. Cherished grandfather of Andrew C. Varley all of Linthicum, Md. He was preceded in death by his two sisters Virginia Helms and Rose Adkinson, and four brothers Steve Zambelli, Quito Zambelli, Edward Zambelli and Babe Zambelli. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy. on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Rose of Lima Church on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow with Military Honors in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oak Lodge Assisted Living Facility.
