Patricia Ann Moorhouse-Getz

November 8, 1953 ~ September 7, 2017 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Moorhouse-Getz, Patricia A.

Patricia Ann Moorhouse-Getz, age 63, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017.  She was born on November 8, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland to Jack and Rae Getz.  She was a graduate of Anne Arundel Community College and University of Maryland Baltimore, where she earned her Nursing Degree and a Masters Degree in Nursing Clinical Informatics.  Pat worked as a nurse for over 20 years at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore before she transitioned into more of a clinical informatics role.  Most recently Pat worked at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Oklahoma as the Clinical Informatics Coordinator.  She loved helping and caring for others, and spent many nights working overtime in times of need.  It was her true calling in life.

Pat volunteered countless hours for the Boys Scouts of America, both as a leader when her three sons were scouts and later as a health and safety officer for the National Jamboree.  Pat received numerous awards and recognitions for her service as a scout leader, including the Silver Beaver Award.  Pat and her husband, Bob Faber, became friends and mentors to many scouts and scout leaders in the Four Rivers District in Baltimore over the last 35 years.

Pat was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawton, Oklahoma, where she sang with the choir on Sundays.

When Pat was not helping others at the hospital or in Boy Scouts, she usually could be found at her 3 sons’ sporting events, where she frequently served as team mom and #1 fan.  Whether it was a little league baseball game at Greater Glen Burnie or Brooklyn Park, or a varsity basketball game at Cardinal Gibbons, Pat was always there to support her sons.

Pat was known as Mom Mom to her 5 grandchildren.  She loved spending time crafting and reading with them.  She will be truly missed.

Pat is survived by her husband, Robert Leonard Faber, her children Colin George Moorhouse (and his spouse, Courtney Moorhouse), Neal Getz Moorhouse and Michael Bryan Moorhouse (and his spouse, Mary Moorhouse); her grandchildren Connor George Moorhouse (9), Madelyn Regina Moorhouse (6), Cora Ellen Moorhouse (6), Corben John Moorhouse (4), and Maverick James Moorhouse (1); her sister Janice Elaine Harrison; her niece Heather Chisholm and her nephew James Harrison; and her beloved dogs Gizmo & Lilly.
