Joyce Ann Marie (Petcholan) Rush

Joyce Ann Marie Rush, 65, of Pennsville, NJ passed away on July 13, 2016. Born in Baltimore, MD, Joy was the daughter of Joseph & Helen Petcholan. She is survived by her husband Edison C. Rush II, son, Edison  “Eddie” C. Rush III and his wife Simi, daughter, Joan "Joanie" J. Rush-Weber, brother, Joseph Petcholan and his wife Jocelyn, as well three grandchildren Ben, Ronin, and Audrey. ;She was a devoted spouse, mother, and grandmother whose care and compassion resonated in her family throughout her life. As a volunteer, Joy selflessly contributed to the community through the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, and Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 30 years. It was here that she developed and nourished some of her strongest relationships.  Throughout her working life Joy worked at Social Security, Public Service Electric & Gas, and Anchor Glass. 

The first service for Mrs. Rush will be held at Kingsway Baptist Church located at 744 Kings Highway Mickleton, NJ 08056 on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Viewings will begin at 1 PM with the service following at 3 PM, and dinner at 5PM.

Friends may visit at Gonce Funeral Home at 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Monday 10am to 12 noon. Service at 12 noon followed by interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that donations can be made to Kingsway Baptist Church in Joy's memory and honor.
