On October 30, 2017, JoAnn Retha Murphy age 66 of Brooklyn Park, Md. died after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of 43 years to Thomas P. Murphy. Cherished mother of the late Maureen P. Murphy. Loving daughter of the late John and Retha Flack. Sister in law of James Gosnell Jr. and wife Joyce, George Shifflett and wife Margie, Michael Murphy and wife Debbie, Nancy Lance and husband Blair, Niece of Edward Flack and Natalie. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P. A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy. on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Rose of Lima Church on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
