      James was born in Baltimore, MD July 6, 1930. He graduated from Southern High playing on the Varsity Baseball, Football and Basketball team. James had proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He and his wife Naomi Have been married for 63 years and always loved going on big family vacations with their children to Ocean City, Myrtle Beach and Florida. He also enjoyed going to Laurel Park and watching the the horses.

      On February 17, 2018. James passed away at 87 years old. He is the beloved husband of Naomi Irene Perry; Loving father of James M. Perry Jr. and his wife Kathleen M. Perry, Lola M. Thorpe, Carla A. Thorpe and the late Thomas D. Perry; Cherished grandfather of Heather M. Thorpe, Christina L. Ward, Michael J. Horn, Douglas B. Perry, Megan A. Thorpe, and Matthew T. Perry. James was also blessed with 9 Great grandchildren. Dear Brother of Mary Perry, and Betty Lou Wojciechowski, and 5 siblings who have passed.

     Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Philip Neri Church on Friday at 9 AM followed by a procession going to Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. Please feel free to leave condolences for the family here.
